My health and wellness journey began in childhood and was a transformative experience. Growing up overweight, my mother introduced me to the fundamentals of weightlifting during middle school. Around the same time, I also started learning mixed martial arts. However, my high school wrestling experience truly ignited my passion for fitness. Wrestling pushed me to take my health seriously, instilling a profound love for wellness that would shape my future.
After high school, my burgeoning interest in fitness led me to earn my Personal Training Certification through the NSCA in 2017. As I began training, I discovered the transformative power of functional fitness, using tools such as kettlebell training, joint-specific mobility work, and end-range of motion expressions. Soon after, I became certified in these training modalities through Strong First and FRS. These tools revolutionized my approach to strength and conditioning, bringing a new level of balance and resilience to my training that I had never experienced before.
But fitness alone wasn’t enough. My trials with mental health opened my eyes to a much bigger picture—one that goes beyond physical strength. Through years of exploration, I delved into various spiritual teachings and practices, realizing that True Health is not only physical. It’s an integration of mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
This holistic philosophy led to the creation of Time Of Sages—a space for others to ignite their inner Sage, a metaphor for the wisdom and strength within each of us, and embark on a journey toward authentic, lasting health. My goal is to guide you in building a body that looks, moves, and feels amazing while helping you nurture your mind and spirit to feel confident and balanced in every aspect of life.
